How much practice exists
How large the bank is, counted as rows a learner can actually be served rather than rows in a table — the difference runs to hundreds of items per section, and counting the larger number would be the easiest lie on this page.
The inventory register — every bank counted separately, each with the rule that produces it — is published in full on the methodology page, computed from the same module as the figures above rather than restated here. The counting rule worth knowing before you read it: retired items kept only as anchors for past sessions are excluded, which is why every figure there runs lower than the raw table size a screenshot of the database would show.
What we will not publish yet: score improvement
The figure this page would sell hardest is the one it withholds. Here is the sample it would run on, and how far it is from the floor.

No average, agreement figure or outcome claim is computed until at least 30 consented results have been reported. None have been reported so far. That floor is a convention rather than a guarantee: below a few dozen self-selected reports, an average describes who chose to answer more than it describes how anyone performed, and no arithmetic repairs that.

Two things stay true even after the floor is cleared. The sample is self-reported and self-selected, so it will always describe the learners who chose to answer as much as it describes practice; and a practice band from our scorer is not an official ETS result. Both caveats are published with any figure computed over this sample, not retired once the number gets big enough to be flattering.

Frequently asked
Does Reach120 publish how much learners improve?
Not yet, and the reason is mechanical rather than modest. Improvement figures would run on results learners report about themselves after a real test, and that sample has not reached the size below which an average describes who chose to answer more than how anyone performed. The sample size itself is published on this page at every value, including zero.
Where do the numbers on this page come from?
From the production database, recomputed while the page is served, through one shared module that carries each figure with what a single unit of it counts, the query behind it and its measurement date. Nothing on this page is typed by hand; a hand-typed figure fails a test in this repository.
What happens when a figure cannot be measured?
It is absent. It is never replaced with a remembered value, a default, or a zero — "we could not measure this" and "we measured zero" are different statements and only one of them would be true.
Can I cite these figures?
Yes. Each one is published with its counting rule and the date it was computed, so quote it with that date attached — the live figures move as the product is used, and a number quoted without its date will drift out of true.
