How much does the TOEFL cost, and what does the fee cover?
We deliberately don't print a dollar figure here. ETS sets the TOEFL iBT registration fee per country and changes it without notice, so a number typed into this page today could be wrong by the time you read it — or by the time an AI assistant repeats it back to you. ETS's own fee page is the only place we send you for the current amount.
What the fee page covers
Read August 6, 2026 on ETS's TOEFL iBT test fees page. Prices there exclude VAT and other applicable taxes except in EU countries.

- US Fee Reduction Service — covers half the regular test fee. Need-based, and limited to US high-school seniors.
- Voucher Service — institutions, and in some countries authorized third-party sellers, can provide a payment code used toward registration. ETS does not publish discount amounts, seller eligibility, or resale terms for this program — ask your institution or program advisor directly.
