For teachers and tutors
A teaching kit for the 2026 TOEFL
Printable material for a room: what each task is and how it is scored, a lesson skeleton to hang a class on, and prompts to say out loud. Everything here is free, needs no account, and is behind no form.
The files quote the published specification rather than summarizing it, and every quote names the source it was read from. If a statement in this kit and a statement on the ETS site ever disagree, the ETS site is right and we want to know.
The classroom files
Printable documents, written for the person at the front of the room. Each carries its version and review date so an old photocopy is identifiable as one.
The 2026 TOEFL task and scoring-route reference
A planning reference. Each statement below is quoted from the claims record behind this site, which names the source it was read from. It is not a scoring rubric: the published rubrics are ETS material and are not reproduced here, and how this software reaches its own practice estimates is written up at reach120.com/methodology instead.
Download PDFA single-class lesson skeleton
A stage-by-stage skeleton for one class, to be filled with whichever task type you are teaching. It carries no minute counts on purpose: class periods differ, and the only durations this kit is able to state are the ones the published specification gives for the test itself. Set your own clock and keep the order.
Download PDFClassroom prompts and board work
Lines to say out loud or write on a board, grouped by task type. Print it and keep it face up beside you while teaching. Nothing here is a test item: these are the questions to ask a class about a task, and the practice items themselves live in the packs on the downloads hub.

Material to set your students
These already exist for learners and are listed here because a teacher needs to know what to assign, not because they were made for this kit. Each is generated from the practice bank on this site and carries its own provenance note. Several are windowed away from the material published on the bank pages, so a class and the homework after it are different items.

A score calculator for your own site
The score calculator has an embeddable version, so it can sit on a school or tutoring site rather than sending readers away. The install snippet and the terms it comes with are on the tool page. The attribution link is removable with one parameter, and the tool keeps working without it.
How the practice estimates are produced
This kit states what the test contains, and stops there. How this software arrives at its own practice estimates, what they are measured against and where they are weakest is written up separately, in full, including the parts that do not flatter it.
If you teach more than your own students
There is a separate workspace for running classes on this site, with its own page. This kit is for teaching material and asks nothing of you; that page is about the software and what it does with a class.
What this kit does not claim
- It does not claim that a class using this material scores higher. No result of that kind is published on this site, and a kit is not evidence.
- It is not a rubric. The published scoring rubrics are ETS material and are not reproduced here; what the reference sheet gives is the scoring route the specification states for each task.
- It carries no level label. The specification does list a band per task type, but the claims record behind this site does not license that row on a printable file, and a level printed without its source outlives the handout it was printed on.
- It does not stand in for teaching. This is material to teach with, and the lesson is yours.
- Nothing here is licensed, endorsed or reviewed by ETS, and none of the practice material is a real test question.
