This plan schedules practice. It does not predict a score, promise a score gain, or claim any particular outcome — nothing here could support such a claim, and no honest tool can make one from a date and a number of study days.
How the plan is built
- Counted back from the test. The last week always ends on test eve, so any short week is the first one rather than the most important one.
- All four sections rotate. The two open-response writing tasks come round most often, because they are the ones repetition moves fastest, but no section goes untouched — an ignored section is what shows up on a real score report.
- The final week rehearses. Full four-section mocks at the listed timings, not new material.
- The day before is rest. Deliberately. Cramming before a test this long costs more in fatigue than it returns.
What this plan does not tell you
This plan schedules practice. It does not predict a score, promise a score gain, or claim any particular outcome — nothing here could support such a claim, and no honest tool can make one from a date and a number of study days.
It also cannot tell you how many weeks you personally need. Nobody can: it depends on where your English is now, which no date-based tool can see. If you want that answer, sit a full mock early rather than late — the gap it shows you is real information, and a schedule built on it beats a schedule built on a guess.
Common questions
- How long should I study for the TOEFL?
- There is no published answer to this, and anyone giving you a confident number is guessing. What the plan does instead is take the time you actually have and spread it across the four sections so none is left untouched — which is the failure mode that shows up in real score reports, not a shortage of total hours.
- Will this plan raise my score?
- This plan schedules practice. It does not predict a score, promise a score gain, or claim any particular outcome — nothing here could support such a claim, and no honest tool can make one from a date and a number of study days.
- Why does the plan work backwards from the test date?
- Because the week that matters most is the one before the test, and it needs a different shape from the others — a full mock and then rest, not new material. Counting back guarantees that week lands correctly; counting forward would leave whatever remainder fell out of the arithmetic sitting against your test day.
- Why is the last day always a rest day?
- Cramming the day before a four-section test costs more in fatigue than it returns in recall. The plan schedules the last full mock earlier in the final week so there is time to read the feedback, then leaves the eve clear.
- Do I need an account to generate a plan?
- No. The plan is date arithmetic that runs in your browser. Nothing is stored, nothing is emailed to you, and no account is involved.
