A 12-week TOEFL study plan for someone targeting band 4.5

Written by the Reach120 research teamReviewed
What 12 weeks of scheduled practice looks like when the band you are asked for is 4.5: 48 sessions at 4 study days a week, rotating all four sections, with the last week given over to rehearsal. The plan schedules the work — it does not predict where you will land.

How these figures were arrived at

The schedule is produced by the same generator the tool runs, counted back from the test date so the final week always lands against it; the session count above is that generator's output at 4 study days a week, not a figure typed onto this page. The band figures are transcribed from ETS — TOEFL iBT score scale update (for institutions) — the CEFR alignment, the previous 0–120 bound, the per-section 0–30 ranges and the requirement recommendation are all ETS's own, and the last of those is advice to institutions restating a requirement rather than a conversion of anybody's score. This plan schedules practice. It does not predict a score, promise a score gain, or claim any particular outcome — nothing here could support such a claim, and no honest tool can make one from a date and a number of study days.
